Here is the behavior that I get. Everything else being equal, the indicator crashes when I add the standard US English layout to the list of layouts. The output of xprop -root | grep XKB when it does crash is the following: _XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = xorg, pc105, ca,ro,us, multix,std,, lv3:ralt_switch,grp:alts_toggle when it does not crash, it's _XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = xorg, pc105, ca,ro, multix,std, lv3:ralt_switch,grp:alts_toggle Note that if I select one of the variants of the US English layouts (such as US-Intl, for instance), the indicator applet does not crash. I'm posting the crash report, but no debugging symbols, sorry (if it's needed, will do it). Same for me. Happens on login, or when I try to add the applet. After the crash I get a suggestion to delete the applet. I use English, Bulgarian and Bulgarian (Phonetic). OK, a bit more info on this bug. I reinstalled gnome-orca, ran it once to configure it, and on a fresh login, this bug is back. Also, FWIW, my Keyboard Indicator applet will not load currently.
