I have a 18586MM and I do not see any behaviour like that. It has an
Intel on board video and 1.5Gb of RAM.
Which model R52 are you experiencing this issue with? I suspect that
this is an ATI-based model.

I have seen this intermittantly on my Toshiba Tecra A5, but I have never
been able to reliably reproduce it.
