Hi reef2dive, can you please supply a PulseAudio log according to

your card is not recognized.

reef2dive, your pulse log indicates that the soundcard is busy, so that's why
it won't load it. Could you supply the output of this terminal command:
sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*
