Just verified that this is indeed fixed in alsoft-conf 1.4.3-2 on Ubuntu 17.10. It would appear I've fixed this bug after a couple of days of learning to use Qt Creator Designer. The three labels were not linked to their respective controls, preventing the shorcut keys from working and causing the ampersand (amp;) to appear in the UI. Thank you for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I see the '' characters are still present in these labels in alsoft- conf version 1.4.3-1 on Ubuntu Raring. Likely this is the character used to mark the shortcut key to the table, allowing users to use alt+shortcut key to navigate to it (like alt+g for General).
