Importance:
I've started bisecting this problem a while ago, though this is quite
time consuming. I could narrow it down to a range of commits from
2.6.32. As soon as I find the culprit I'll report the bug upstream and
update this one.

Sounds pretty much like the bug I reported here: 661711. Too bad that it
has made it to the stable release although it was already reported in
alpha stage :(

Update: Still happening with linux-image 2.6.35.19.20. Last time it
happened the rtc was NOT set though, although pm_trace was enabled.
