I've got what looks like a fix to me ready. If the entries can't be fixed, then considering bug 74262, the View menu should be eliminated altogether. Confirmed. The View menu choices Show Package List, Show Last Download and Show Last DPkg Run are greyed out and non-functional. The only functional view menu item is Manage Repositories.
