Lollerke, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If

I apologize, I tested some more and found out, that it is actually
related to the browser putting its data not into RAM but on my SD-Card
(which serves as harddrive replacement) and is very slow, it seems that
for an unrelated reason (I yet have to find out) it slowed down. Putting

I cannot follow on why this bug was marked invalid, as there were people
having this problem and no further request for information has been
made:
I seem to encounter the same problem in maverick with unbearably slow
connection speed (mean ~ 1 kB with short bursts (around 1 second up to
30 kB) -

Same here with Atheros AR5005G wireless network adapter. Some pages
(like google) work well, but most websites don't load due to a timeout
or load very slowly. Update manager is affected, too. Downloads take
some time to start, but then, once started they work well (7 Mbps).

Problem seems to be fixed. Network speed back to normal.

Same here with latest Maverick Netbook Edition with all updates from
repositories on HP Pavilion dm1-1020ed. Problems started after upgrade
to Maverick beta (under 10.04 I had no problems at all). Loading a test
page showed a download speed of max 24 KiB/s.
I don't know what causes it and so I
