This seems fixed when I upgraded to Feisty's totem. Well, at least mostly. It automatically resizes when opening a movie, and the '0' and '1' keyboard shortcuts work, but '2' seems to still not work. -- Totem doesn't auto-resize https://launchpad.net/bugs/62723 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list

Just found this bug via the search, I'm using Ubuntu 6.10 beta and I'm also experiencing it. As said, resizing doesn't work at all. For example, download this - http://www.gran-turismo.com/jp/movie/index.do?id=385 - video. It's 720p, if I play it with Media Player Classic under Windows XP Media

It's worth noting that there are two issues here: 1. Totem doesn't erisze its window to fit the size of media. 2. It is not possible to use short keys (0, 1, 2) or the View - Fit Window to Movie menus to change the size of the window ( Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a movie in totem . 2. Press 0.

Thanks for your bug. Do you use totem-gstreamer or totem-xine? Does it happen when playing any media? What do you try to play? Do you have any error on the command line if you run totem from it? ** Changed in: totem (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu Desktop Bugs Status:

Hi Sebastien, thanks for your reply. I'm using totem-gstreamer and it happens all the time, when I play any type of video or audio. I don't get any error message on the console when running totem from it, just this: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ totem ** Message: w 420 h 432 sidebar 0 -- Totem doesn't

Confirmed here. Happens with any type of movie. Attaching the screenshot which shows the properties of movie. Resolution is supposed to be 640x384. Using totem-gstreamer on edgy. ** Attachment added: Irrespective of resolution of movie, display widget and sidebar has fixed size
