image (written to USB stick with dd):

see (been rooting around releases.ubuntu.com). Has anyone found any
images? I attempted to create the image myself via the red hat link but
it was fruitless.

This bug affects Ubuntu 10.10, Maverick Meerkat. Maverick has reached
end-of-life and is no longer supported, so I am closing the bugtask for

The amd64+mac iso images of Ubuntu 11.10 and 12.04 alpha are both working for
me.
But it looks like a workaround, not a real fix to the standard amd64 iso image.
