tackled in newer versions of Ubuntu, and Jaunty is EOL, so I am closing

Don't worry, I can just do
While the problem still exists, the latest usplash theme tries to work
as best as possible. There are still problems but these will only be
solved by a new infrastructure and not new pictures.
We will use the newest usplash-theme-ubuntu package
