Thanks David. Sorry for the diff, it was my first packaging related patch, and I did not know how to proceed. With mentoring, I have found it out, it won't happen anymore. Just one last noob question: shouldn't the menu entry be changed too to have Geography instead of Geoscience for consistency? This is a good question, don't worry. The .menu file is for the old Debian menu system. GNOME, KDE, Xfce and other modern desktop environments all use the .desktop file. In Debian there has been discussion whether to deprecate .menu files at all. Hmm patch doesn't apply 1. Please update the release version to natty i.e the latest development version 2. Please prepare a debdiff against the latest natty version in the repos 3. Please use LP: #X instead of Closes: X for LP bugs 4. Please forward the change in debian and see if it can be included in debian. This way the package can be synced from debian automatically since we are not in DIF 5. This bug report should be really against josm package here I think rather than app-install-data-ubuntu and its quite confusing Unsubscrbing sponsors till the above points are taken care of.
