[Bug 66118] Re: Printer settings in systemsettings/kcontrol don't work any more (Connect to CUPS faild)

2006-11-02 Thread Kai Kasurinen
Is this problem in Edgy? Or just in Dapper with Kubuntu packages?

I suggest to mark this as a duplicate to
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+bug/65901. Seems to be the same
problem.

2006-10-18 Thread da1l6
It is getting wired.
Two days ago everything suddenly worked (on Dapper AND Edgy)?!?
I was about to post that, but since yesterday it fails again (on Edgy and
Dapper!) but with a different message:
... localhost: read faild (15).
Exactly the same thing as mentioned in the message from the KDE bugtracker
linked above.

Both installations are on the same machine, but there was no change in
the hardware (it is a Laptop).

2006-10-17 Thread Jozef Komenda
Could this be related to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135561 ?

According to the info presented there, the kdelibs package should be
probably fixed because of too small timeout.

I have similar problem on Dapper manually upgraded to 3.5.5.

2006-10-15 Thread da1l6
Sorry but this did not help.

Did
rm -r ~/.kde/share/apps/kdeprint/*
rm ~/.kde/share/config/kdeprintrc
but it had had no effect, neither on edgy nor on dapper :( .

Note that the tested edgy installation was done using Knot 3 alternate
and updated since.

[Bug 66118] Re: Printer settings in systemsettings/kcontrol don't work any more (Connect to CUPS faild)

2006-10-14 Thread Anthony Mercatante
The configuration has changed between dapper and edgy.
Can you remove ~/.kde/share/config/kdeprintrc ~/.kde/share/apps/kdeprint/* and
reload kde ?
That should resolve your problem.
Thanks for feedback the result !
