xorg-edgers PPA; that seems to have eliminated this bug.

I am experiencing the same bug in Kubuntu 10.10 (regression from 10.04).
Since it might depend on the video driver, let me add that I am using a
Lenovo X200 Tablet with intel graphics. lspci reports
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series
