[Bug 667455] Re: no sound if another user is logged in in background
@David, thanks. The problem is solved when users were removed from audio group. Feel free to mark this bug as duplicate if you find the proper number, or just close it. -- no sound if another user is logged in in background https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/667455 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 667455] Re: no sound if another user is logged in in background
@anatoly, yes, there is a bug for this, but it got stalled between changing use audio devices to something else, and removing it entirely. Don't remember the number for it currently. And by the way, I plan to implement that check in the Natty version of ubuntu-bug audio :-) So, does removing users from the audio group solve the problem for you? -- no sound if another user is logged in in background https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/667455 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 667455] Re: no sound if another user is logged in in background
Have you made sure no user is in the audio group? see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/TheAudioGroup for more information. ** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- no sound if another user is logged in in background https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/667455 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 667455] Re: no sound if another user is logged in in background
Actually, all users except me are in audio group. I explicitly gave them permissions to Use audio devices when creating. This should be better explained in Users and groups editor. Maybe rename the option to Exclusive use of audio devices? By the way, ubuntu-bug audio could also check this condition. -- no sound if another user is logged in in background https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/667455 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
