You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu and Firefox since that time. Ubuntu 10.10 (maverick) reached end-of-life on April 10, 2012. Do you still see a problem related to the one that you reported using currently supported versions of Firefox and Ubuntu? Confirmed. Installed ubuntu 10.10 netbook edition recently. Only way to get unity to show again is using a shortcut to open any other program (like a terminal), then it will reappear. Also, when starting firefox again, it is using the whole screen but still showing all toolbars and the menu. After pressing F11 the window is no longer maximised, as if Alt + F5 had been pressed. same here. I have to do Super + 1 to activate firefox again then f11 to close fullscreen before closing firefox again so that my netbook launcher will reappear.
