[Bug 68802] Re: Installer Crashed on 6.10
The package manager appears to be dying with a segmentation fault. This is generally due to a faulty CD/DVD disk or drive, a faulty hard disk, or possibly faulty memory, rather than being an installer bug as such. It may help to clean the CD/DVD, to burn the CD/DVD at a lower speed, to clean the CD/DVD drive lens (cleaning kits are often available from electronics suppliers), to check whether the hard disk is old and in need of replacement, or to move the system to a cooler environment. ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Colin Watson Status: Unconfirmed = Rejected -- Installer Crashed on 6.10 https://launchpad.net/bugs/68802 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 68802] Re: Installer Crashed on 6.10
I decided to triy to install with an IDE hard disk. I deactivated SATA from BIOS no problems at all on the installation. I think this problem is related with VIA vt8251. -- Installer Crashed on 6.10 https://launchpad.net/bugs/68802 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
