I apologizefor the delay in replying , its because I have not been using
Ubuntu for sometime now. I followed your instruction but still could not
find thelocation of the Abinit programme. Under the blue rectangle ther
was adescription off the Abinit progromme but nomention of its location.

Software Centre has a feature that tells you where to find your newly installed
application.
