I too have seen this behaviour mirrored in Google Chrome. Turns out my
eBay extension was responsible. I have uninstalled for now.

Well, I just recently upgraded to the 11.04 alpha running Unity, but
when I was experiencing the bug I was on the standard GNOME 2 desktop
with Elementary-OS theming.
