1. In "Time & Date Settings…" > "Clock", check "Coming events" if it is not 
checked already.
2. In Evolution, add an event for some day in the current month.
3. Open the clock menu.
4. Log out and log back in again.
5. Open the clock menu again.

What happens:
3. The new event doesn't appear in the menu.
5. The new event does appear in the menu.

What should happen:
3. The new event appears in the menu immediately.
