Fully updated as of this AM and its still happening all tho not as much.
I just reproduced it by clicking on the mumble icon that I had stuck to
the launcher. As soon as the mumble window opened the launcher was stuck
over the application behind it and you could click thru to the
application
I can reproduce with impress too which is not Qt. But since the update
from this morning the behaviour is improved
TEST CASE:
Preconditions:
- Launch loimpress and keep it in the launcher
- Close it
1. Launch Impress from the Launcher with the mouse.
- The Wizard dialog is launched
2. Move
state of the launcher before clicking the the launcher icon and
triggering the bug.

I noticed that opening a menu of a maximized window will solve the problem.

One more confirmation of the bug. I just tried 11.04 beta1 live CD, and

Had a slightly different experience this morning after waking from
suspend. The retained image was pixelated. Wish I could've grabbed a
screenshot, but it looked similar to TV noise. Mousing over the Ubuntu
symbol caused the menu to come out again, which redrew the menu and it
retracted normally.
Heads up, when a user does a 4 fingers drag the launcher appears and if
the drag is big enough the launcher is supposed to be locked in place
and stay visible.

I have found a work around that is quite simple to get you into a
working state.
1. Open nautilus
2. Grab any icon in the nautilus window (file, folder etc...)
3. Drag it onto the launcher and let it go
4. Launcher starts behaving again

After some more experimentation I've found a way to reproduce. While its

Just a note on this particular bug (that shouldn't influence the decision of
what's the best option by default):
- this issue is due to compiz being puzzled in the stack order (mainly, it
doesn't know that there is a window under the launcher). It's the same issue
which leaded to the invisible

I've seen this too.
I think we need to drop the non-autohide mode entirely, and that will
make it easier to ensure the launcher can't think it should be
