Repeatable failure in install process on Athlon 2500 - live CD install

Feisty will display something like this instead of the crash dump, which
also explains this bug:
Failed to copy files; faulty CD/DVD?
The installer encountered an error copying files to the hard disk:
IOError: [Errno 5] Input/output error
This particular error is often due to a faulty CD/DVD
I tried this 3 times last weekend and got the same result each time.
This weekend, with no change to the setup or my install options, the install
has run through to completion with no errors.
Is it worth trying to repeat the install in an attempt to replicate the error?

Hi, Just following up on this bug. Will you be able to provide these log
files? (you will have to repeat the install attempt with the same Live
CD to get them) Without the logs we will not be able to follow up this
issue further. Thanks.
Further information:
Since this is a Live CD based
The log files are in /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman. Start a web
browser on the live CD, find this bug, and use those filenames in the
attachment filename entry box.
