I am also having this bug using Hardy Heron. It is really difficult to
make use of evolution when you have to do everything twice. Any one got
any ideas?

It's not that I have a similar issue but that I have the same issue. The
bug was marked as invalid because there was no confirmation and the
person dropped the issue. Therefore I think it is valid to reopen the
issue. I do agree that it is perhaps better placed on the gnome bug
tracker. I have

Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
for you? May you try to reproduce this with a newer version of Ubuntu
like Feisty or
marking unconfirmed, maybe somebody having the same problem can forward
that upstream

Evolution 2.8.1 and Ubuntu 6.10 - the Edgy Eft are the versions that I
use. I've tried evolution from the terminal and nothing interesting it
