I am not really sure if extending your feature request really makes
sense in my bugs case. The closed bugs seem to refer to some dual-boot
problem - however, my bug is not dual-boot related (I don't even habe
another OS on that machine)...

I am affraid, there is nothing umounted at all during hibernate. There are
allready two bug reports about this regarding shared partitions on (non
removable) harddisks and dual boot which where rejected:
