Same problem here, with gnome. Have been using PinguyOS and Cryptkeeper for a long time, but this morning when I click on Cryptkeeper, the keys icon on the top panel does not show up. So now I have no way to get to my encrypted folder. Hopefully someone a LOT smarter than I (a relative noob) can

I did some research and it appears that this is not a bug. There is a setting in Unity that can be modified using gconf-editor or this command in a terminal: gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist ['all'] ...then all apps that send an indicator to the tray works fine. The
