To reproduce, run the herd 2 desktop installer in Qemu with the -std-vga
option (it fails without that option too, but differently). The
installer switches to text mode (without clearing video ram). Note:
doing CTRL-ALT-F1, CTRL-ALT-F7 fixes the screen corruption.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Unfortunately, we are
not able to fix and find the bug because your description of the bug
didn't have enough information in it. In particular, we need more information
about the hardware you were attempting to install fiesty on. You may find
I am using a Dell Latitude D800 laptop. It has run previous versions of
Ubuntu just fine. The screens locks up after entering the time zone and
I am not sure if I can get any logs. Please advise what you need me to
do to provide more info.

It actually locks after specifying the keyboard and I can access logs
using a terminal screen after it locks up. Just tell me what you need.

Could you attach /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman as that will allow
the issue to be further investigated. For more information you can look
