The upstream bug is correct and fixed, but it belongs to Gtk+. The fix is part of version 2.10.10. I do not know how to handle these info updates in this launchpad bug and would be glad if someone showed me. I just reported a serious GnuCash crash on their bugzilla http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401963 but I also just heard through gnucash-users that this bug has been long since fixed and I should upgrade to GnuCash 2.0.4.
