If I disable nvidia, I get pixel garbage instead of the login screen. I used jockey-text on the text console to activate nouveau, but I still got pixel garbage. It may be due to the fact that I upgrade to Natty instead of doing a fresh install. But I don't know. -- You received this bug

It *seems* to be that this happens only if the video is played on screen1. On screen0, I cannot see this artifact. I use twin X screens, and screen1 is my TV set with a higher resolution than my computer monitor (screen0). Even if I resize Totem to the same pixel size on both screens, I see the
