This package has been removed from the Ubuntu development release, so I
am closing all remaining open bug reports.
Sorry that we couldn't fix your problem properly, but gpointing-device-
settings is dead upstream, buggy and completely unmaintained.

Hi,
I did a full backtrace and attached it.
It looks like it is using strcmp on a NULL argument. I added a simple != NULL
at gpds-xinput-utils.c:49 and the program no longer segfaulted, but failed with
some other errors.
