Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

Activating wifi using the hardware switch of my Dell Inspiron 1525 works
well except for one situation: If the hardware switch is off when
starting Ubuntu, I can't get wifi working, neither by activating the
hardware switch nor by the network-manager-applet. It then always sais
that wifi is disabled by the hardware switch.

This bug occurs since I upgraded to Natty.

It seems to be similar to bug #684315 but the other way round.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
