should keep playing if closed while playing, ***it should exit if closed

ok.. I'm man enough to admit when I've misdiagnosed something..
Though it's still not quite matching documented behaviour.
If I pause, it quits but stays in the sound menu, but it doesn't resume
from where it stopped. I swear the process was still running - perhaps
it's because I switched
