The issue is still unfixed in the reprepro version provided by Ubuntu

FWIW, I am not experiencing that bug with Debian unstable or Ubuntu
xenial. I have CI running on every support Debian & Ubuntu versions and
artful i386 is, to me, the only occurrence of this bug.
