I got a similar behavior when I let Banshee download the lyrics and
write them to the MP3 files. After some time the duplicates occured.

Great, thanks. This is probably an issue with the download daemon on the
server, which downloads the songs into Ubuntu One; so I'm moving it
there, and marking the libubuntuone task Invalid (since it's in the
package).

Pete, are there 2 separate copies of this song in 2 separate places
within your Ubuntu One account, when you go to the web site? If so, can
you provide the example paths where they differ? You can hide the real
path info, if you wish, and the Purchased from Ubuntu One can be
omitted, like this:
