Public bug reported: Package : xserver-xorg-input-all (there's no place for that in LP) Distrib : Ubuntu 7.04 Fesity Fawn up-to-date
Bug : X.org doesnt boot after removing xserver-xorg-input-all Comments : A recent update in Feisty made xserver-xorg-input-all not a dependency of ubuntu-desktop. I'm using debfoster so I removed it "just to see" and when I rebooted, X.org did not boot (it said it couldn't find mouse and kbd devices). I reinstalled xserver-xorg-input-all (wich depend on xserver-xorg-input-mouse and xserver-xorg-input-keyboard) and it worked fine. So I think we simply need to make xserver-xorg-input-all a dependence of ubuntu-desktop ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-keyboard (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-mouse (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Also affects: xserver-xorg-input-keyboard (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Description changed: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-mouse Package : xserver-xorg-input-all (there's no place for that in LP) Distrib : Ubuntu 7.04 Fesity Fawn up-to-date Bug : X.org doesnt boot after removing xserver-xorg-input-all Comments : A recent update in Feisty made xserver-xorg-input-all not a dependency of ubuntu-desktop.
