I get this error frequently and for no apparent reason. Sometimes I've
just opened a menu but often I'm just typing. Different other programmes
have also been open at different times. Nothing occurs to me as a
constant here.

Did an install on a virtual machine from 11.04 to 11.10 beta. Message

I got this bug after having swriter open for a while. I was going back
and forth on different desktops between two open swriter documents and
one open nautilus folder. The crash didn't seem to affect usability.

I figured it out:
Submitting a crashreport of "bluetooth-applet" (#838418) triggered a crash of
Unity (#838378 / #817352), submission of that crash triggered a crash of
Compiz (#838407), submission of that crash triggered a crash of
"oosplash.bin" (#835153), submission of that crash triggered a cr
...and it's consistent, as it just happened again - Software Sources
closed unexpectedly after submitting this bug (once again).

I just got this crash as well, together with a whole bunch of other
crashes:
Happened shortly after starting up Thunderbird, right after a fresh boot
of the system. This crash occured together with a crash of "bluetooth-
applet", "Software Sources", Unitiy and two instances of Compiz. I'll
see if
that would explain why i can't reproduce, i've been compiling in a vbox
machine so i can't restart my kompooter :P

yes, and i haven't been able to reproduce it yet, mind you i haven't played
with LO too much i just tried again to open it a few times the same way and
it won't crash now
