I tried and failed to reproduce this in lucid with a self-compiled 0.5.4
package and the provided information.
$ git dch
Changelog debian/changelog not found
Please give more detailed steps how to reproduce this issue. Please
preceed your commands with LANG=C LC_ALL=C for output in English.
