Hi.
I have Compaq nx7300 and the same problem!
I installed yesterday official Ubuntu Feisty Fawn (7.04).
Will there be some patch or via new kernel update that fixes this
problem?

Hi,
Compiling the i8042 driver as a module solves the problem on my laptop
(HP NX7400 - ey508es). There's another problem right now. The screen
stays black after resume. Pressing the brightness keys on the laptop
turns it back on.

This can be handled by compiling i8042 driver as a module and unload it at
suspend and reload it at resume. It would be good if default kernel would have
this driver as a module.
