Thanks a lot for your work on this.
I just uploaded the fix, but changed the changelog entry in the
following ways:
- upload to oneiric-proposed (as opposed to oneiric)
- changed the version number to 1.5.1-3ubuntu1.1
- added the bug number to the changelog entry.
I tested the fix in a
Bibus is necessary for academic papers like Bachelor and Master Thesis.
So a working package ist very important for students working on their thesis !!!

It seems that a simple rebuild could be enough.
$ sudo dpkg -i bibus_1.5.1-3ubuntu2_all.deb
Selecting previously deselected package bibus.
(Reading database ... 208231 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking bibus (from bibus_1.5.1-3ubuntu2_all.deb)
Formatting appears to work with the newer version, 1.5.2.2, from
SourceForge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/bibus-biblio/.

http://packages.debian.org/sid/all/bibus/download
allows for Bibus installation on Ubuntu 11.10.
But a new problem then arises: there is no way to select different styles: you
get stuck with the one by default, which of courses renders Bibus useless. Any
idea how to fix that one?

You might want to try to install the more recent Debian revision 1.5.1-5 from
here:
http://packages.debian.org/sid/bibus
There is a link to the .deb package at the bottom of the page.
