Public bug reported:
sata primary drives are recognized but
ide secondary drives, one hdd, one cdrw not recognized.
peculiar to ubuntu installs: latest ubuntu, mint 2.1, mint 2.2.
Not a problem with Fedora 6, Mepis 6, KNOPPIX 5.5.
Perhaps a clue , in the ubuntu installs, /dev sections are missing:
/dev/cdrom->hdd and /dev/cdrw->hdd are not there as they are in
Fedora, Mepis and KNOPPIX.
