In my understanding the issue is relevant. When starting up update.manager
it says it cannot get Gtk Window pointer.
Later on when clicking on the Check button it drops the below messages
which says: AttributeError: 'Window' object has no attribute 'window', Of

Yes please file a new report. Update-manager uses synaptic as a fall
back option when aptdaemon is not available. Apparently the issue is
fixed in 12.04 but we may be able to get a SRU for 11.10

Ok, I do see the messages coming up in a terminal window but it does not seem
to effect the way update-manager is running. Are you able to update without
any problems?

Can anyone confirm if this is still and issue with the latest updates
installed? To install latest updates, please use apt-get from the
command line if you cannot use update-manager. After the system is
fully updated, try to use update-manager again to reproduce this
behavior.
