I can not reproduce, on my clean Lubuntu install. Can you please run
pstree and figure out which are the parent processes? The good
xscreensaver should be started by lxsession.
Pierre, the final iso, does it mean you see it on a clean install from
the Desktop CD, or already in the live session?
Clean install was from a live session. Note: it also happened when I
upgraded my main computer from Lubuntu 11.04.
I fixed the problem by removing @screensaver from
etc//Lubuntu/autostart and added a shortcut for it in
~/.config/autostart.
