After upgrading to 12.10, it seems it's fixed.
I still don't get the meaning of the 'S' in 'LTS'.
The fix needs to be made available for 12.04.

(I'm changing this to confirmed though one should not confirm one's
own bugs, because this is a very well known bug which seems to get
attention everywhere except here.)
IT GOT WORSE TODAY: now it has started to affect also videos streaming
online, for example videos on YouTube.
For god's sake,
Ok, if no effort is being made in fixing this and nobody has even
assigned a value to importance, it MUST mean that there must be some
very easy workaround, so can anybody tell me what it is?
Or do most people using ubuntu really never watch videos?

For god's sake, this regression appeared more than a year ago, may
somebody please at least decide the importance?

Title:
colors are messed up
I have upgraded to 11.10, I have the current(recommended) nvidia drivers
now (which now work) and the issue is NOT fixed.
Please set the importance to critical as soon as possible

This is likely and issue with your video driver so I am changing the
package to xorg.

Ok it's this issue http://www.wiredrevolution.com/ubuntu/fix-blue-
tinted-video-in-ubuntu
However, note that the recommended version of the NVidia drivers
(which is supposed to fix the issue) is not recommendable at all, it is
completely screwed up, so it is not an option.
