this is the steps I took and its working. add the following to your list of apt sources deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/nickel62metal/ubuntu jaunty main then the old apt-get update followed by apt-get install microdia-dkms Then just reboot. It tested this with the application 'Cheese'. --
