System load figures are hard to compare. I have an AMD Turion II processor (approx. twice as fast as an Atom), and I manage to have 40 MByte/s NFS throughput. The CPU is at 80%. Is this already an unusual high number, meaning that I may be affected by this bug? I'm using Ubuntu Server 13.04.

I did some testing with a newer kernel on Debian a while ago. The 3.x series seemed to have higher load indeed, but as far as I could test, it did not kill the server. If you have multiple clients to the server it would be a good test to start several writes (like dd from /dev/random) over NFS and
