Almost same problem. I have a laptop LCD with 1440x900 res. As soon as i plug an external CRT display with 1680x1050 res. the tray icons disappear from my LCD and are still visible on the external display. Running 12.10 on NVIDIA GT218 [NVS 3100M] graphic controller and nouveau driver -- You
