This bug is still affecting me in 15.10. I even updated to gnome 3.18

I also had similar problem with
$ colormgr get-devices
not finding my printer. However, I was able to fix that issue: I uninstalled
and installed it again via System Settings - Printers. After that colormgr

I share shinyblue's problem, on very different hardware. (Desktop with
Nvida graphics and an Eizo screen.) The problem is also a regression
for me.
Like him I find that colormgr get-devices does not list the screen.
My laptop, a Lenovo with intel graphics, also upgraded to 11.10 is fine
and
I can confirm I have this problem on my laptop and unable to list the
device using colormgr as well, it worked fine in Ubuntu 11.04. My screen
has a strong blue hue by default so it would be great if this could be
resolved, I've used a hardware calibrator to generate the .icc file to
get good
$ colormgr get-devices
returns nothing for the screen.
