I still experience this issue on a fresh install of precise, running unity 5.10.0-0ubuntu6. https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/927170 is a recently reported and triaged duplicate of the bug. I tried your given steps as well and the issue did not happen in my case as well, here is what I did. 1. closed and removed all pined app launchers. 2. dragged 5 app launchers from the dash to the launcher 3. launched two no-pinned apps they appeared below my fifth pinned app icon as they should. Omer, tried with a guest session and the issue is still there. I'm adding two attachments with a situation almost as the described, but with six applications pinned, The first shows initial state, and the second what happens after opening the calculator from dash, when it goes before the last application instead of after.
