The problem crept up again a few days ago (maybe once and within a small time
span of 5 minutes, but it did reappear), despite the work-around. So, I guess
it's not the same bug as Bug 839164.
I'm disabling the workaround.

Ah, that's unfortunate that the problem remains. I've been unable to reproduce
this on both my laptop and a virtualbox installation, so it looks like this
problem may be somewhat specific to your hardware and/or software
configuration. Hopefully someone else comes along who is also experiencing

Thanks for your bug report. I think this bug may have already been
documented, however. Could you please take a look at Bug 839164 and see
if it sounds similar to your problem? If it does I'll go ahead and mark
this as a duplicate of that bug.

Thanks for your quick response.
I've never encountered it in full screen mode, but then again I hardly
ever use it. Regardless, I assume that the behavior I mention would
manifest itself in the same way in full screen mode.
I've just noticed there's a work-around mentioned in the
Thanks for taking a look at that report and trying the workaround,
hopefully it solves the problem. Please report back when you've finished
your testing.
