This does not seem to be very relevant any more, as in one of the next
cycles we'll drop the system-config-printer GUI and use the gnome-
control-center one. So I just unassign for now.

In which situation does it happen? And with which printer setup tool?
With which printer? Note that if you are using Unity, you will get
system-config-printer as printer setup tool and if you are using gnome-
shell you get the new tool of GNOME 3.
system-config-printer is capable of calling
pitti, are you sure that Jockey does only the OpenPrinting driver
request and no full system hardware scan when called by system-config-
printer?

Jeff, we need improvement on the response times of the OpenPrinting web
server. They are also rather long for requests via the web query API
(query.php, which is used by the printer setup tools for finding drivers
to download automatically). Before the security breach at the Linux
Foundation the
Paul, except the slowness the OpenPrinting web server is mostly working
again, so that in January we can work on creating the mirror at
Canonical. This way we can also raise the performance to answer the
driver requests.
