I have tried the 15th March build on my other computer and it works
fine. Should I try it on my laptop aswell (but without changing the
data?). Also, my laptop seems to call the hard drives by a long sequence
of letters and numbers, and not sda1 / sdb1 etc? Is that a problem?

Alternate Install CD does not detect partitions
I just have the layout
hdd0:
/ (ext3)
swap (swap)
hdd1:
/backup (ext3)
When there were just Linux partitions (the first time) I think that was
when it was OK at recognising the partitions once I refreshed the
program, but the second time they were an ext3 drive and an NTFS drive.
