Public bug reported:

Click "Install Kubuntu".  Click Continue.  Click Continue.
Select "Manual".
Click Continue.

Select a partition.  Click "Change..." Select file system and mount point.  
Click OK.
Select another partition.  Click "Change..." Select file system and mount 
point.  Click OK.
The installer appears to hang for a second, then exits with no message or crash 
dialog.

Sometimes it crashes after the 3rd partition edit, not the second.
